The many faces of Milo

Anyone have good suggestions for creating collages? I used Google's presentation software to do this, but it took way too long.

Lessons learned #1: diapering

It turns out that if, at 4:30 AM, the diaper is no longer covering the butt, poop can get:
On his clothing
On the receiving blanket
On the breastfeeding pillow
On his parents' blanket
On his parents' sheet

Note to self: try not to allow this to happen again.

In which Milo loses his umbilical cord, goes for a walk, and is again pooped

The cord fell off the night before last:
... which means he can have a real bath now.

The day was lovely, so we walked around the neighborhood and looked at the other babies.

As you can imagine, this tired Milo right out (as do most things, like eating, cuddling, and days that end in 'Y'), so he took a nap on his mother:

Milo meets Megan and gains weight

Today, Milo went to the doctors' for a routine blood test. They also weighed him, and he came in at 8 lbs, 6 oz. This is good; it means he's gaining weight well and feeding properly.
He was 7 lbs, 13 oz. at birth, and was down as low as 7 lbs, 1 oz. on his third day.

His umbilical chord stump also fell off today - the time just flies by.

Pooped

Milo and I took a little nap on the couch, and a photographer viciously took this picture while we were too tired to defend ourselves. We had a tiring day. I worked on the taxes, and, um, I probably did other useful stuff too, and he had to process organic manner to extract its nutrative elements and dispose of the rest (he seems especially good at the disposal).
