This was Milo's outfit for his first day:
Milo seems to like daycare fine. When we drop him off, he always seems to be looking around interestedly, and he looks content when we pick him up, too. Sometimes he's playing peek-a-boo with Ms. Paula.
The whole experience is probably much more trying for his parents. Besides his apparent unconcern with being abandoned with strangers all day, there's the whole process of getting him to and from daycare. It seems to add an hour onto the commute, despite only being a 10-15 minute walk from his mother's place of work.
The plan is that I drop him off in the morning and his mother picks him up. It turns out that in order for this to happen successfully, I have to make a little list of everything I have to bring with me and do when I'm there. It begins "Stroller (with baby)" and ends with a reminder to take off the shoe covers I have to don to enter the Bunny room.
The upside of all this for me is that daycare is near Eastern Market (one of those large halls with lots of different food purveyors), so I've been stopping on my way to work for sandwich meat.

He is such a cute little guy! Everytime I saw him in the room, he was looking around and enjoying all the action!
Thanks! It's nice to know he's a cheery dude even when we're not around...and he has that Eva Cate to look after him.
